CZ. I malé děti mohou postihnout velké starosti, třebaže nemusí úplně rozumět trápení dospělých. Vnímavá učitelka však vycítí z vyprávění malé holčičky, že tatínek odjel a maminka těžce onemocněla, závažné náznaky něčeho tragického a začne sama zjišťovat, co se děje... Film ovšem není určen pro dětské publikum, má naopak oslovit generaci jejich rodičů a prarodičů, ale počíná si způsobem velice melodramatickým. Tezovitě, nepřesvědčivě napsaný scénář předkládá dialogy i zápletky jen stěží uvěřitelné.

EN. Children's Island (Swedish: Barnens ö) is a Swedish drama film which was released to cinemas in Sweden on 25 December 1980, directed by Kay Pollak, starring Thomas Fryk and Ingvar Hirdwall. It is based on the novel of the same name by P. C. Jersild. Filming took place between July and October 1979. It won Sweden's most prestigious film prize, the Guldbagge, when it was released in 1980 and was Sweden's official selection for the 54th Academy Awards. The film became controversial in Australia, being banned in 2014, over thirty years after its original release.
The story is set in Stockholm where 11-year-old Reine is on the verge of puberty and afraid of sexual maturity. He lives in a suburb with his single mother who sends him to one of the traditional Swedish summer camps which were common at the time of the setting and were managed by the cities for children in need of visiting the countryside. The title of the film refers to an island that is home to many such camps. His mother then vacations on her own, but in fact Reine never goes to the camp. Instead he spends the summer exploring the city of Stockholm on his own, where he meets several strange adults.

　　一次，冬冬和小夏被高年级调皮男孩欺负。冬冬将满腹的委屈向“哈比”倾吐，说自己“恨不得变成‘哈比’”。冬冬的愿望很快就被爸爸托人从埃及带回来的一条具有魔力的狗项圈变成了现实。为了表示对冬冬的感激，“哈比”满足了冬冬的心愿，和冬冬交换了角色。
　　就在一瞬间，“哈比”变成了冬冬，而冬冬变成了“哈比”。

Caroline and her mother and sister go to their house in the country to wait out the turmoil of the bogus revolution, while Dad keeps working in the city. Caroline falls for the dashing Philippe, her riding instructor (wonderful performance from Pascal Greggory, trimly bearded), and so does her mother; the latter two carry out a torrid affair.
Marie-France arrives on the scene, she is also struck by the macho Philippe and moves in with him. By now there are so many female aggressions going on, you wonder how they can all be resolved without wholesale killings.
